Question: Forgot about the hole at the bottom of this hanging flower basket. Now it's a bit dry even when watering. What to do?

The plant in this hanging flower basket is drying out because of the hole at the bottom. When watering, the water simply drains out again.
What to do? Dig all the plants out? Fill the hole and replant?
